URBIO modernized street lighting in both municipalities with high-efficiency LED luminaires and smart control, and brought smart pedestrian crossings to Tuzi. In Bar, the works cover the wider city center and include new poles and completely new cabling.

See how the modernization of Bar’s public lighting came together, from installation work on the city’s streets to the first evenings under the new LED lights.
Through a €15 million program, URBIO delivered more than 1,500 smart urban furniture products and digital administration solutions for public institutions in 75 communities across 17 counties.
Annual Consumption
Reduced from about 1,785 MWh to 322 MWh per year.

The Project in Place
The Project in Place
In Bar, the works cover 27 streets, including the residential neighborhoods of Makedonsko naselje and Lamele, where around 600 of the new luminaires were installed, and 254 old poles are being replaced. In Tuzi, 130 NEMA smart controllers connect the lighting through gateways in 4 control cabinets to a local server.
