PIR Sensor FEATURES
PIR Sensor FEATURES
The PIR Sensor provides reliable real-time movement detection using passive infrared technology. Combined with Urbio controllers and Lighting AI, this simple sensing input becomes the foundation for automatic lighting adaptation, predefined lighting scenarios and centralized control across connected urban lighting infrastructure.
Sensor-Driven Lighting
Lighting That Responds to Movement
The PIR Sensor detects movement using passive infrared technology, providing the trigger required for connected luminaires to automatically adapt their light output when activity is detected.
Connected Control
Controlled Through Lighting AI
Lighting AI allows operators to define how connected luminaires respond to PIR motion detection, combining automatic sensor-driven operation with centralized lighting control.

Automatic lighting adaptation
Proximity based lighting adaptation
The PIR Sensor detects movement within its sensing area and sends this information to the connected lighting controller. Based on predefined rules, nearby luminaires can automatically increase their light output when activity is detected and return to a lower level once the area becomes inactive, enabling responsive lighting with reduced unnecessary energy use.
PIR Sensor CONNECTIVITY
PIR Sensor CONNECTIVITY
The PIR Sensor connects directly to selected Urbio luminaires through a standardized Zhaga socket, providing a compact and reliable interface for sensor integration. Once connected, the sensor communicates through DALI-2, allowing motion detection data to be used by the luminaire and lighting controller for automatic lighting adaptation. Compatibility is available across selected Urbio lighting models and smart-city equipment.
